Embodied Threads

Movement as a Way of Knowing

An evolving educational framework

We do not simply move through the world. We learn through movement — every reach, turn, pause, fall, and recovery shaping how we perceive ourselves, others, and the world around us.

The Framework

Embodied Threads is an evolving educational framework exploring movement as a developmental technology — through dance curriculum, somatic practice, teaching, and research. It is not a single program. It is a way of understanding what movement is for.

Movement is not preparation for life. It is one of the primary ways life is known.

Whether you are a dancer, educator, parent, therapist, or simply curious about human development, this framework offers a place to explore how the body participates in becoming.

Every child arrives already moving. Every adult carries the body they learned in. Embodied Threads is a framework for taking that seriously — as pedagogy, as research, and as practice.
