The Teaching

Embodied Education

My work with bodies and education — movement taught from within, for adults and for children.

I come to this work through two trainings: dance, which taught me how a body learns, and developmental psychology, which taught me why that learning matters.

We live at a point in time where abstraction leads — where children meet the world through screens and symbols before they meet it through their own senses. These classes work in the opposite order. Movement first. The story felt before it is explained. Meaning built from within.

The intention is not to make the body conform to movement, but to allow movement to become a way of understanding the body.

Soma Flow

Tuesdays 10am in Granby · Thursdays 7:15pm in East Longmeadow, MA

Both classes are also offered on Zoom.

Through gentle sequences, stretching, breathwork, and flowing movement, participants develop mobility, body awareness, coordination, and a greater sense of physical freedom.

The goal is not simply to teach children how to perform movements, but to help them understand movement from within.

Storybook Movement Classes

Wednesdays at 5pm · Artistic Dance Conservatory

Ages 3–7 · a story read aloud, then moved.

Through guided improvisation, musical exploration, rhythm, repetition, and collaborative storytelling, children develop coordination, balance, spatial awareness, body confidence, and early dance technique.

They also practice listening, making choices, responding to others, and participating in a shared creative experience.

The Little Sun Who Forgot How To Shine

A Story To Dance · the Storybook Dance series

A read-aloud story to dance — so the class can come home with you.

The Ballet Labs

My ballet pedagogy work — and my original and adapted children’s ballets, where young dancers learn to inhabit characters and build movement from within.

The Magical Divide

The original ballet · inspired by the music of Vivaldi · first staged in 2018

Now also a picture book — the story of a little girl trying to convince everyone to look up.
