Soma Flow

Movement that builds the capacity to feel more alive.

Soma Flow is a music-led movement practice blending ballet-inspired conditioning, somatic awareness, breath, balance, strength, and stretching into one continuous flow.

Rooted in the precision of ballet but designed for every body, Soma Flow uses small, controlled movements that are often deceptively challenging. We move through the whole body, opening the chest and spine, strengthening the legs and core, exploring balance, and finding freedom through movement.

There is effort here. Muscles work. Balance shifts. We encounter moments of discomfort and discover that we can breathe, adjust, and remain present. Over time, we begin to recognize the difference between discomfort that accompanies healthy effort and the signals that tell us to soften or rest.

And then comes the release. The delicious stretch after the work. The pleasure of feeling your body open, strengthen, and move in ways that once felt unfamiliar.

Soma Flow isn’t about perfecting a pose, achieving a particular body shape, or pushing through pain. It’s about developing a relationship with your body that allows you to experience more of what it can do and feel.

Classes move with the music, drawing from ballet, barre, mindful movement, and stretching. Each session is responsive to the people in the room, allowing strength and softness, challenge and pleasure, effort and ease to exist together.

You don’t need dance experience.

You don’t need to be flexible.

You simply need a willingness to move and discover.

People often come for the exercise. They return for how it feels to be in their bodies.

Because we don’t build capacity only to withstand life.

We build capacity to experience more of it.

Want to work together?

Everything on this page is part of how I work — there’s no separate booking for it. We begin with an Orientation: ninety minutes, by video or in person, where we talk about what’s bringing you here and decide together whether there’s a useful way to continue.

I’ll send a short note beforehand asking what you’re hoping for, so we can use the time well.
