Orientation
I don't begin with a package.
I begin with a conversation.
An Orientation is a place to meet, talk, and figure out what kind of support might actually be useful to you. There is no pressure to continue working together, and no expectation that you arrive already knowing what you need.
You may be trying to understand a pattern in your life. You may be in transition. You may be working through something creative, developmental, relational, educational, embodied, or difficult to name. You may simply know that something is moving and want a thoughtful person beside you while you listen for where it is going.
That is enough to begin.
What the work is for
Most of us carry a sense that our life is a set of conditions — that this is simply how it is. Much of what I do is help people find coherence between what they think, what they say, and what they do.
It isn't that thinking differently changes the world. It's that incoherence between thought, word, and action is a large part of what makes a life feel fixed. When those three come into line, a situation stops behaving like a condition and starts behaving like a conversation. You begin to notice where you actually have agency, and you watch reality answer.
How I work
Human development is my specialty. Over the years I have studied and worked across psychology, education, movement and somatic practice, symbolic language, mythology, astrology, Reiki, and creative inquiry, and I have developed frameworks of my own.
Those are tools. They matter to me, but I do not need you to fit inside them.
Every person organizes experience differently. We have different histories, bodies, languages, sensitivities, ways of learning, ways of making meaning, and ways of knowing when something is true.
So the work is responsive. Sometimes we work through conversation. Sometimes through the body. Sometimes a symbol, story, question, developmental lens, movement practice, or energetic practice becomes useful. Sometimes the most important thing is simply having enough space to hear yourself clearly.
I am less interested in applying what I know to you than in discovering what helps you move.
What happens in an Orientation
We meet for ninety minutes, by video or in person.
You tell me what is bringing you here, in whatever language makes sense to you. We pay attention to what feels important, what seems stuck, what is asking for attention, and what direction feels alive. Small talk, for me, is depth — so come as you are and we will find the thread.
From there, we decide together whether there is a useful way to continue.
There may be. There may not be. The Orientation can be complete in itself.
If continuing makes sense, we shape the work around what you actually need rather than placing you into a predetermined program. It might include symbolic inquiry, developmental reflection, movement or somatic work, Reiki, educational consultation, creative exploration, or some combination of these.
The method follows the person.
A presence-based practice
I believe a person should remain a participant in the process of understanding their own life.
My role is not to tell you who you are. It is to notice with you. To ask useful questions. To offer language or frameworks when they illuminate something. To help distinguish what belongs to you from what may have been inherited, learned, imposed, repeated, or simply outgrown. And to leave enough room for your own perception to answer back.
The work does not begin with my framework. It begins with you.
Access
Sliding scale: Orientation $44–$88, continuing sessions $30–$55. I also reserve a limited number of reduced-cost and no-cost sessions for people who would otherwise be unable to participate.
You do not need to justify your financial circumstances to me. Choose the option that allows you to enter the work with as much dignity and ease as possible.
Begin
If something in my writing, research, symbolic work, developmental thinking, or creative projects has brought you here, you do not need to determine which part of my work you belong in.
Just book an Orientation. We can begin with what is happening now, and see what moves.
